Artist Interview Research

I looked at R&B magazine double page spreads to see the kind of language that is used or have in common in order for me to reflect this in my interview. I realised that some of them incorporate colloquial language which I believe really reflects the nature of the character being interviewed. I then noticed that many of the questions asked were to do with the artists personal life in terms of relationship, family and any issues within them. They are also asked a lot about any feuds they may have with other artists or what they dislike about certain people. As well as this, I have seen questions of the artists interests and hobbies and inspiration for their music.
I also noticed 5 things that artist interviews always include;
humour, difficult questions, story telling, light hearted questions and music history.

Here is an interview with an R&B artist, there's a lot of casual chit chat in this interview which is common in a lot of interviews in this genre. There's a lot of music chat and personal chat which allows fans and readers to feel close and more involved with the artist and what they're doing.

There is a very relaxed feel to this interview and we're able to get a feel to Alicia's personality which is important. I aim to incorporate this feel into my interview .
